Our Special Meeting on Friday 28th September 07 was a VERY special event for two important reasons.
First on the agenda was the
presentation of a 60 year diploma to Brother Tom McGuffie Snr. by none other
than our
Depute Provincial Grand Master
Bro. James Nimmo
DPGM Bro. Nimmo spoke at length on both his working life
and his Masonic career and his kind words were greatly appreciated by my father

This photo shows Bro. Tom being
presented with his diploma by D.P.G.M Bro. James Nimmo
and on the right is our own R.W.M. Bro. Stevie Mack and on the left,
yours-truly, his son

Below, I had the distinct honour and
pleasure of presenting my father with a plaque
commemorating his 60 years in Freemasonry, engraved with the two Lodges of which
he is a member, his Mother Lodge, Lodge Union and Crown No.307 and his affiliate
Lodge, our own Lodge Burns Dundonald No.1759 with Mark tokens of both Lodges

After the presentation to my father, a
very unique Mark Master Mason Degree took place,
the Brother receiving his Mark was Bro. Murdo McDade and it was carried out by
no less
than 10 Reigning Masters which were,
